The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word „Yuj“ meaning to yoke, join or unite. This implies joining or integrating all aspects of the individual – body with mind and mind with spirit – to achieve a happy, balanced and useful life, while spiritually uniting one.. People off all shapes and sizes can attend classes. No matter what physical state you start with, yoga improves your general health and attitude to your body. Further, regardless of age, health, or background – yoga is non-competitive and helps each person attain results to the best of their ability.

*B.K.S. Iyengar, named by Time magazine as “one of the 100 most influential people in the world.” Mr. Iyengar, was regarded as the foremost living yoga teacher. He studied and taught for over 70 years and his dedicated practice and teaching continue to inspire and guide pupils worldwide. Mr. Iyengar and his daughter and son, Geeta and Prashant Iyengar teach and refine this constantly evolving method. Often called “meditation in action,” Iyengar yoga uses the physical reality of the body to know our minds and the deepest parts of ourselves as human beings. The infinite perfectibility of the postures provides a pathway into the development of our cosmic intelligence and our ability to concentrate and sustain focus. Practicing these postures with awareness has an integrating effect and harmonises mind and body and is for every body.
